Project & Development Questions
Your project questions, answered.
How we manage your project, keep budgets and schedules clear, and help you make informed decisions from planning through completion.
Managing your project
How does Stone Oak move the work forward?
Will Stone Oak build my project?
We manage the project for you as the owner, bringing the plan, schedule, budget updates and decisions into a clear process. Your contractor performs the construction and remains responsible for site supervision and safety. Required inspections and certifications remain part of the project’s approval process.
How do Project Management and Construction Management differ?
Project Management brings the overall plan, team, budget and schedule together from planning through completion. Construction Management focuses on the building stage, with progress reporting, schedule coordination, budget tracking and follow-through on changes. We define the services around your project and keep you informed throughout the work.
When should I contact you about a project?
Contact us at any stage, from early planning through construction and completion. We review where the project stands, identify the priorities and define the management support needed. Starting early gives us more time to organize the budget, schedule and key decisions.
Can you help me compare contractors or consultants?
Yes. We organize proposals, compare the work and pricing included, identify gaps and follow up on questions. You receive a clearer comparison to support your selection. You approve the provider and final agreement, including any required legal or technical review.
Funds & financing
How do you keep costs and payment requests clear?
What is Fund Control Management?
Fund Control Management supports project and construction management by keeping budget records, invoices, payment requests and approval status organized. We track the documentation and outstanding items so you can follow how project costs move through the review process. Your capital provider, bank or escrow company holds and releases the funds after the required approvals.
Will Stone Oak hold my money or approve funding?
We manage the payment-request records and track the required approvals; we do not hold project funds or approve funding on our own. Your capital provider, bank or escrow company holds and releases the funds under your funding agreements.
Can you help with construction payment requests?
Yes. We organize invoices and supporting documents, assemble payment-request packages and track missing items, review questions and approval status. You get a clear view of each request and what needs attention. Payments follow the agreed approval process through the company holding the funds.
Can you help arrange financing too?
Yes. Our Stone Oak Capital Advisory team arranges financing with private investors and other capital providers. We connect the financing strategy with your project’s budget, schedule and goals, with the work, fees and capital provider requirements confirmed before you proceed.
Before we start
What should we discuss first?
Where can you help with projects?
We welcome project inquiries across Stone Oak’s 43-state footprint and in other states. Share the location and the work you need. We confirm the services available and applicable licensing requirements for your project before agreeing to begin.
What should I share in the first conversation?
Start with the property’s location, type, current stage and what you need help with. Include an approximate budget, target dates and who is on the team if you know them. We’ll agree on how to share private records after the first conversation.
How do we agree on the work and fees?
We talk through what you need, the work we provide, the updates you receive and who makes each decision. The written agreement sets out the work, responsibilities, fees and timing before we begin.
Can you help with my project?
Tell us where the project stands and what needs attention. We review your goals, budget, schedule and current challenges, then recommend a clear plan for Project Management, Construction Management or the supporting services you need. We confirm the scope and start date before work begins.
